Legally....Blogged?

As I embark on the beginning of a new collegiate career in law school, I realize that I should also give a nod to the $60,000+ spent on my past education. Therefore, I carry on the tradition of English majors who find that they're not currently writing a novel that will land them a segment on Oprah. So then, I write in complete, semi-grammatically correct sentences, and tell you not of some fascinatating character, but of a plethora of unfascinating events that happen daily to.....me.

Neiman Marcus' "Ten Things You Need Right Now"

Today I am officially -belongings and all- a townhouse resident of San Antonio, Texas. Mom and Dad graciously lugged my furniture all the way from Granbury, TX and for the first time in week, I'll graduate from the couch and sleep in my own bed. YAY! This Sunday's events included finding a church (University United Methodist, which I now love!) and stocking my fridge, which naturally led me to the nearest Super Target. I just HAD to try on those patent leather stacked heels....which stood me a surprising 3 inches taller. I had no idea that they would be so high, and ultimately decided not to buy them (they're now on sale for $25.99). Since then, I have voted to buy them later this week and see how they feel after I walk around my house in them (Shall I vacuum in them, Rebecca?). P.S. They were super-cute.

Neiman Marcus had a new "Notebook" that came out about a week ago with all of the 'must-haves' for fall. Included was a removable bookmark listing the top "Ten Things You Need Right Now:"

1. Black/gold handbags
2. Red shoes
3. Belts
4. Tunics
5. White shirts
6. Narrow pants
7. Dresses
8. Bold gold necklaces
9. Black leggings
10. Boots and booties

And I love the look above - easy enough to put together, and if you really aren't comfortable sporting the skinny jean like the model, the tunic is the most important piece anyway. It hides all the "bad areas" with its flowy shape and black color. You could even add a red or gold belt at the waist for a slpash of color. Also, if you can't afford the Neiman's version, this look is easy to replicate at the Forever 21 near you. :-)

And now you are in The Know. If Neiman Marcus says it's hot, then it IS, Dahling.

Hey Catherine! Rebecca sent me the link to your blog since you're on the fashion up-and-up. :-) Hope you enjoy living in SA. I really miss it! When Bobby and I did get up for church, University is where we went. We really liked it, so I'm excited you're going there! Good luck with law school!
